BIM for Public Administrations in ITeC

Barcelona, 4 of July

Wellington, 19 08018 Barcelona

Morning Session (9:30am to 1:00pm)

The construction sector linked to the Public Administration is witnessing changes of great importance. Bids for public building work must incorporate BIM requirements as of December 17, 2018 and, for infrastructures, the obligation will be effective as of July 26, 2019 by the Ministry of Development. Meanwhile, during this autumn, a Government Agreement of the Generalitat de Catalunya will be approved for all projects of more than 5.2 million euros per work and € 300,000 per project.

Also, a large number of private projects are already being Executing in accordance with the requirements of this new BIM methodology.

The ITeC participates in the Construir Futur Commission responsible for developing the steps that the BIM roadmap in Catalonia must follow, together with BIM Academy -one of the participating expert consultants- jointly organized by BIMtour session.

BIMtour is an initiative to help the greatest number of agents in the AECO sector in their transition process towards working models according to the requirements demanded by the introduction of these methodologies and technologies in the Territory / Construction relationship 4.0.
